About NECINA


New England Chinese Information & Networking Association (NECINA), a non-profit and non-political organization, was founded in March, 1996 by a group of Chinese professionals from network computing industries who recognized the need for advocating technologies and business opportunities in information and networking. The association will hold its official opening ceremony in June 1996.

A nine member Board of Directors is the governing body of NECINA, and they are elected by the NECINA's members and serve 3-year terms. In addition, the NECINA activities are administrated by 10 executive officers. For the year of 1996. NECINA will bring together the experts in the following industries to share their experiences among the members: Client/Server, Internet/WWW, LAN/WAN, Multimedia, Network Management, Telecommunications, and Transmission technologies.
