Telecom Network Management

 Abstract:
        This seminar gives an understanding of the many requirements 
	and issues in the telecom network management domain. These 
	requirements and issues are related to configuration, security, 
	performance modeling, simulation, capacity planning, trend
	analysis, fault management, and accounting(billing). This seminar 
	also includes telecom network management achitecture, applications 
	in the market.

Presenter:
        Mr. Sam Shen
	Mr. Sam Shen is in Bay Networks as project manager and
	architect. His previous job was in Digital Equipment Corporation, 
	Telecom,Network,voice engineering group. He represented DEC
	to attend IEEE 802.3 Task force. He was involved in telecom 
	projects such as US Sprint ATM solution, Alpha NT voice server,
	SNET X25/SS7 Intelligent network, AT&T; BaseWorX applications.

Abstract: This presentation will provide an overview of the high-speed access solutions, including ISDN, ADSL, HDSL, SDSL and VDSL, from both a technical and a market point of view. Summary Presenter: Dr. Shuang Deng Dr. Deng has a unique background in both the telco and telco equipment supplier from both a technical and business perspective. He worked at GTE on the local access service and played an instrumental role in developing the first ADSL data trial at GTE. Dr. Deng is a co-inventor of ADSL for the data service concept. His contributions to the ADSL Forum have become the design guidelines for the industry. Recently He founded a new company to develop advanced local access loop solutions.
